YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The Yuba City Sizzler raised $1,387.50 for the Yuba-Sutter Foodbank through a monthlong fundraising campaign in September.

The restaurant, located at 872 Onstott Road, participated in Sizzler's National Cheese Toast Month celebration by offering two specialty sandwiches, the Cheese Toast Patty Melt and Cheese Toast Malibu Melt.

Throughout September, all profits from the sale of the two sandwiches were designated for the Yuba-Sutter Foodbank, which was selected as the local beneficiary by restaurant employees.

According to a representative from Sizzler's public relations agency, customers purchased hundreds of the specialty sandwiches during the promotion, generating the $1,387.50 donation to support the local food bank.

The Yuba City restaurant was among participating Sizzler locations nationwide that collectively raised more than $80,000 for local charities and community organizations.
