YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Tri-County Diversity will bring its fifth annual Pride in the Park back to Sam Brannan Park on Saturday, Oct. 3, with live entertainment, vendors, community resources and activities for children.

The free, all-ages event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park, 806 Gray Ave. Organizers confirmed the festival will proceed at Sam Brannan Park despite the park's closure to the general public.

Yuba City closed Sam Brannan Park to the public beginning Sept. 1. According to Tri-County Diversity, the organization remained in communication with Yuba City Parks and Recreation about its existing reservation.

Organizers said the city confirmed the closure will not affect the Pride in the Park reservation. The organization will have access to the park, including its pavilions and restrooms, and organizers said major construction is not expected to begin until later in October.

The festival will include performances throughout the day from Lizz Shine, Cameron Love, KC Shane, Mercy and Just A Girl Band. A Show of Hands ASL Interpreting Services will provide interpretation for performances on the main stage.

Lizz Shine fronts the Northern California-based Lizz Shine Band, which performs rock music. KC Shane, a Sacramento-based singer-songwriter, will perform with his band, The Belonging. Mercy Rei Tang will bring poetry and performance to the stage, while Sacramento-based Just A Girl Band features singer-songwriter EuDora Star. Cameron Love is also scheduled to perform.

StarShine Productions and Lizz Shine are coordinating the stage and entertainment for the event.

Beyond the stage, Pride in the Park will include local artists, merchandise vendors, food vendors, resource booths, a kids zone and raffle prizes.

Organizations scheduled to have booths include Sutter County Public Health, Sutter-Yuba Behavioral Health, Sierra Mental Wellness Group, Peach Tree Health and the Center for Workers' Rights, along with other community groups and businesses.

Food vendors listed for the festival include Dreamy Treats, Tacos Los Reina's, Stupid Lemonade and Kie Kie's Lumpia. Additional vendors and resources are listed on Tri-County Diversity's Pride website.

Tri-County Diversity describes Pride in the Park as an inclusive event for people of different orientations, gender identities, races, ethnicities, abilities and backgrounds. The organization also operates peer support programs, social activities and resource services throughout the year.

Admission to Pride in the Park is free. Donation tickets are available for those who want to support Tri-County Diversity and TCD YOUTH! programs and future community events.

Golden 1 Credit Union is providing financial support for the festival. Live Oak Church of the Brethren will provide free water to attendees.
