Lindhurst 27, Lower Lake 14 - This was the first time the Blazers have won back-to-back games since October 2025 as they defeated Lower Lake by double digits.

The Blazers built a comfortable 21-point lead in the first half as they controlled the ground attack with more than 350 rushing yards.

Lindhurst junior running back Chan Hicks continued his quest for being the most prolific back in the area as he once again put up 190 yards on the ground.

Defensively, Blazers senior linebacker Ismael Sanabia was a nightmare in the win as he had seven total tackles, five for a loss and two sacks.

Hicks also had two interceptions and junior linebacker Valentino Trevino led the way with 10 tackles in the win.

Lindhurst opens up Sierra Delta League play with Golden Sierra on Friday night.

Destiny Christian Academy 10, Yuba City 9 - The Honkers played DCA tough all night long and their defense made a statement against one of the top Sac-Joaquin Section squads in the area.

Yuba City’s defense yielded a touchdown on DCA’s opening drive and shut them down for the remainder of the evening as they allowed only 214 total yards of offense to the Lions.

Honkers senior quarterback Judah Allen continued his ability to show he is a top quarterback in the area as he completed 11 passes for 204 passing yards.

Allen punched a touchdown into the end zone on the ground in the third quarter.

Yuba City senior running back Cody Haase broke for a long run down the left side that gave the Honkers great field position as he ended up with 81 yards rushing.

Yuba City seniors Dom Ramirez and Zeke Mendieta combined for 15 tackles and five for a loss.

The Honkers had a field goal opportunity at the end of the game to beat DCA, but it was unsuccessful. A great showing for Yuba City as they hit the road this week to defend the Mayor’s Cup against River Valley on Friday night.

East Nicolaus 40, Marysville 14 - East Nicolus remained perfect after defeating Marysville last week. The Spartans intercepted Marysville senior quarterback Karter Ellyson on one of his first throwing attempts of the game.

East Nicolaus junior running back Evan Cantrell put the Spartans on the scoreboard with a 28-yard rushing touchdown. Cantrell finished with 63 rushing yards in the win.

Marysville senior running back Israel Rabago continued lighting up the stat sheet as he put the home squad on the board with a 38-yard rushing touchdown.

Rabago is a solid foundation for the Marysville offense in running the ball.

The Spartans led 13-7 at the half and poured it on Marysville in the second half.

East Nicolaus dominated the second half and finished with almost 400 yards of offense in the win.

The Spartans will host a hungry Bear River team on Friday night with kickoff scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

Marysville will continue their search for the first victory of 2026 as they are scheduled to host Dixon on Friday with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

Bradshaw Christian 44, Wheatland 18 - Wheatland had a rough first half on the road in Sacramento as they trailed by 30 at the break to Bradshaw Christian.

Pirates head coach Andy Fatten told YSBC that he takes full responsibility for the defeat. He added that he is proud of the way his team battled.

Wheatland scored all 18 points in the second half. The Pirates have a bye week and will open Pioneer Valley League play against Oakmont (Roseville) on Sept. 25.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
