Golden Autumn Wine Festival Returns, Sept. 6

WHEATLAND, CA (MPG) - Wine enthusiasts will have two opportunities to sample wines from 12 wineries when the Golden Autumn Wine Festival returns to Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm, 1415 Pumpkin Lane in Wheatland, on Sept. 6.

The annual fundraiser for Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way will take place during the pumpkin farm’s opening weekend the shaded lawn behind the Big Green Barn.

This year’s festival will feature two tasting sessions, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. Each session will accommodate up to 200 guests, limiting total attendance to 400 people.

Tickets cost $50 and include tastings from all 12 participating wineries along with samples from specialty vendors. Wineries will also sell bottles for guests to take home, and vendors will have other goods available for purchase.

The festival is limited to guests aged 21 and older. Organizers said no one younger than 21, including infants, will be admitted. Guests must present valid identification to enter.

Proceeds will support Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way programs, including the Born Learning Academy, Eric Pomeroy Memorial Scholarships and 24 nonprofit partner agencies.

Parking at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm will be free Sept. 6 and the farm does not charge admission.
