MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - California State Parks will hold a public workshop Aug. 13 in Marysville as planning continues for a proposed Feather River Park, which would become the first state park in Yuba County.

The workshop will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Yuba County Government Center Board of Supervisors Chambers, 915 Eighth St.

State Parks is in the early stages of acquiring the property and is seeking public input to help develop a vision for the proposed park. The meeting will give community members an opportunity to share ideas about the property and its future use.

State Parks will also offer two virtual workshops covering Feather River Park and two other proposed state parks. The first will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83497388023. A second virtual workshop will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89812071221.

Those unable to participate in a workshop can provide comments through an online survey. State Parks said the survey will help guide planning for Feather River Park and the two other proposed properties.
