YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - A suspicious vehicle parked at Plumas Bank in Yuba City led to the arrest of a Live Oak woman on multiple narcotics-related charges over the weekend after deputies reported finding several suspected illegal drugs and additional contraband at the jail.

Sutter County Sheriff's deputies located the vehicle and identified one of its occupants as Melissa Johnson, 46, of Live Oak. According to the Sheriff's Office, Johnson had been previously released from custody in connection with an earlier narcotics sales investigation and was subject to search.

During the search, Deputies recovered about 5 ounces of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, a vial of suspected LSD, about 50 sugar cubes believed to be infused with LSD, 13.65 grams of suspected methamphetamine, several hydrocodone pills, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, 13 naloxone test strips and cash.

Johnson was taken to the Sutter County Jail, where correctional staff allegedly found another bag containing suspected methamphetamine concealed on her person during the booking process.

She was booked on suspicion of possession of controlled substances, possession for sale, bringing a controlled substance into a jail facility and committing a new offense while released on her own recognizance.
