YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The Yuba City Police Department recently recognized three officers and a dispatcher during a department awards presentation.

Officer Christopher Doble received the Police Achievement Ribbon for his work during the January through May shift rotation.

According to the department, Doble ranked among the agency's most productive officers during that period. He was recognized for his strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to handle investigations while taking a proactive approach to policing.

Officer Andrew Eberley received the Police Achievement Ribbon for his longtime involvement with the department's Cadet Program.

For the past eight years, Eberley has served as a cadet adviser, helping mentor young people interested in law enforcement. Several former cadets have gone on to become full-time officers with the Yuba City Police Department, something officials said reflects the impact he has had on the program.

Officer Jacob Ernst also received the Police Achievement Ribbon for his work on B Swing Shift.

Since returning as a full-time officer, Ernst has become a dependable member of the shift, taking on major investigations while supporting fellow officers. The department noted his involvement in fraud and shooting investigations and said he consistently ranked among the agency's leaders in calls for service, arrests and citations.

Dispatcher Amelia Boom received the department's Life Saving Medal for her actions during a medical emergency on March 31.

Officials said Boom answered a 911 call involving a possible heart attack, immediately dispatched fire and emergency medical personnel, and guided the caller through CPR until first responders arrived.

Her instructions allowed CPR to begin without delay, helping emergency crews restore the patient's pulse before the patient reached the hospital. The department said her quick thinking and calm response played an important role in the patient's survival.
