Law Enforcement Torch Run Supports Special Olympics

YUBA CITY, CA MPG) - Local law enforcement agencies will join community members May 29 for the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Northern California.
The run is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. at the California Highway Patrol office in Yuba City and end at Veterans Park in Marysville. The annual event brings law enforcement personnel and supporters together to raise awareness and funding for Special Olympics athletes.
The public is encouraged to come out along the route to cheer on runners or make a donation in support of the cause. Proceeds from the event benefit Special Olympics Northern California.
Participating agencies include the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, Marysville Police Department, Yuba City Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Yuba County Probation Department, Sutter County Probation Department and the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office.
Organizers said the Torch Run helps carry “the flame of hope, inclusion and opportunity” for Special Olympics athletes throughout the region and across the state.
