WHEATLAND, CA (MPG) - A Marysville resident won more than $218,000 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain earlier this month.

Cheryl, of Marysville, won $218,185.25 on March 31 while playing Three Card Poker, according to casino officials. The win came at about 2 a.m. on a $5 side bet, hitting the progressive jackpot with an ace, king and queen of spades.

Hard Rock President Mark Birtha said the casino was pleased to see a local winner.

“We are thrilled to congratulate Cheryl from right here in Marysville on her lucky jackpot to close out the month of March in a big way,” Birtha said. “We certainly hope it made for a memorable visit.”

The casino said Cheryl received 100% of the progressive jackpot.
