YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Northern California Celtic/Americana rock band "One Eyed Reilly" will return to Yuba City for a one-night performance at the Sutter Theater Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 14. Hosted by Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture, the show begins at 6 p.m. at the theater, located at 754 Plumas St. Tickets are $25 and are available at yubasutterarts.org or by calling 530-742-2787.

Known for blending original music with energetic interpretations of traditional Irish and Scottish songs, One Eyed Reilly mixes Celtic rock with Americana influences. The band’s style draws inspiration from artists ranging from the Clancy Brothers, the Chieftains and the Dubliners to modern groups such as Flogging Molly and the Waterboys. Their live performances also incorporate a range of musical influences, occasionally weaving in songs inspired by artists such as Bob Dylan, John Prine, Tom Waits, Wilco and Old Crow Medicine Show.

The band formed shortly after St. Patrick’s Day in 2012. Lead singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter Rick Meagher brings an Americana singer-songwriter background to the group, along with Irish heritage from his father and grandmother, who was born in County Cork. Other members include Aaron Hendel on bass and background vocals, Nick Carvajal on electric guitar and accordion, and Tim Kurteff-Schatz on drums and percussion.

New this year, Irish whiskey flights will be available for purchase during the event. The theater bar will also offer other beverages. Visitors can also view artwork created by local artists in the theater lobby and the Art Box Marketplace Gallery. Free street parking and adjacent lot parking are available.
