YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The Friends of the Sutter County Library is celebrating 45 years of service to the Sutter County Library, a milestone recognized this month by the Sutter County Board of Supervisors.
Since its founding, the nonprofit has contributed more than $250,000 and provided volunteer support for library programs and events across the county. The funding has supported story times, author visits, seasonal activities and other programs for residents of all ages.
County officials said the group’s impact reaches beyond financial contributions. Volunteers assist with outreach and provide hands-on support that helps sustain the library as a community hub for education and enrichment.
To mark the anniversary, the Board of Supervisors presented the organization with a commemorative plaque and thanked members for decades of fundraising, volunteer service and public support.
The Friends group continues to support library programming and community engagement across Sutter County.
