MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - Adventist Health and Rideout is inviting the community to cast their vote to name its new Da Vinci 5 Robotic Surgical System, following an outpouring of creativity and support from the Yuba-Sutter area.
Adventist Health and Rideout recently hosted a public naming contest and received more than 160 name submissions from community members, students and hospital employees alike, reflecting strong local excitement around the advanced technology that will expand access to minimally invasive surgery close to home.
From those entries, five finalist names have been selected. Community members are now encouraged to vote for their favorite name through a public online poll. Voting is open through Feb. 13, with winning name set to be officially announced on Feb. 19.
The five finalists include Oscar, Dhanvantari, Phebe, Art and Atlas.
The Da Vinci robotic surgical system is a transformative technology made possible by the largest single philanthropic commitment in the history of the Adventist Health Rideout Foundation. It offers patients in the Yuba-Sutter region access to advanced, minimally invasive procedures that promote smaller incisions, less pain, and faster recovery. This new level of local care reflects the hospital’s growing focus on innovation and its long-term investment in clinical excellence.
Votes can be cast now through Feb. 13 at https://forms.office.com/r/BqSevs6qn9
