Sheriff’s officials said the awards recognize employees and volunteers who consistently exceed expectations and demonstrate professionalism, leadership and commitment to public service.

Recipients are nominated by peers and supervisors who observe their work and contributions throughout the year. Officials said the recognition reflects the long hours and extra effort that often go unseen by the public.
