Sutter Theater Hosts Cajun Night, Feb. 28

YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Cajun and Zydeco rhythms will take over Sutter Theater Center for the Arts when Tom Rigney & Flambeau perform Friday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m.
The nationally known band blends Cajun, Zydeco, blues and roots music into high-energy performances that emphasize danceable rhythms and traditional Louisiana influences. The group is led by Tom Rigney, a fiddle and accordion player whose style draws from classic Cajun traditions while incorporating contemporary elements.
Organizers say the performance offers local audiences an opportunity to experience a roots-music concert known for technical musicianship and audience engagement. The band’s live shows are marked by upbeat tempos, storytelling and an emphasis on communal enjoyment of music.

The concert is made possible through community sponsorship and will be held at the historic downtown theater, known for its intimate setting and acoustics. Tom Rigney & Flambeau have performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally, building a following through festival appearances, concert halls and community venues.
