TROWBRIDGE, CA (YSBC) - East Nicolaus senior Makinze Massey etched her name to a unique list of local multi-sport athletes on Jan. 28, as she accomplished a milestone in basketball.
Massey scored her 1,000th career point in basketball during the Spartans 40-33 victory over Winters.
Massey became the first East Nicolaus girls athlete to accomplish the milestone in the MaxPreps era.
Massey scored on a fast-break opportunity with four minutes and 40 seconds remaining in the second quarter and finished with a game-high 17 points in the win against the Warriors.
