YUBA COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Three members of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office were recently recognized as “Heroes with Heart” by the Trauma Intervention Program, an honor awarded to first responders who demonstrate exceptional compassion and professionalism while assisting individuals during crisis situations.

Deputy Chacartegui, Community Service Officer Ross and Deputy Manion were nominated by TIP volunteers who work closely with first responders and regularly witness their efforts during emotionally intense and high-stress incidents. According to TIP, the award recognizes individuals who consistently go above and beyond serving the community with empathy, composure and dedication.

As part of the recognition, the three honorees have been invited to attend the annual Heroes with Heart Awards Gala and Fundraiser scheduled for Feb. 21. The event is open to the public and highlights first responders and community partners from across the region who exemplify service with heart.
