YUBA-SUTTER, CA (MPG) - The Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce will celebrate a major milestone as it hosts its 40th annual Business Appreciation Gala, honoring the businesses and individuals who help drive the region’s economy.
Established four decades ago, the Business Appreciation Gala was created to formally recognize local businesses for their leadership, innovation and impact. What began as a traditional dress-up evening for business leaders and elected officials has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated annual events, expanding in both scale and production value while remaining rooted in its original purpose of celebrating excellence within the local business community, according to the chamber.
Chamber leaders say reaching the 40-year mark reflects the strength and resilience of the Yuba-Sutter business community, as well as the chamber’s longstanding role in supporting businesses through changing economic cycles and generations.

The gala’s awards program remains the centerpiece of the evening, spotlighting outstanding businesses and individuals whose work has made a lasting impact across the region. This year’s awards will recognize Business of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Community Champion, Dottie Neubauer Volunteer of the Year and Ambassador of the Year, representing the many ways businesses and community members contribute to the area’s vitality.
Entertainment will also be a highlight, featuring Hip Service, a nationally recognized, award-winning band known for its high-energy performances. Chamber representatives say the group is expected to keep the celebration lively throughout the evening.
Guests can also expect an elevated dining experience at the Hard Rock Live Event Center, with catering provided by the venue’s in-house culinary team. Organizers say the dinner has consistently been a standout feature of the gala and helps set the tone for the night’s celebration.
Approximately 400 to 450 guests are expected to attend the event, which also serves as a key fundraiser for the chamber. Proceeds support the organization’s year-round business programs, advocacy efforts and community initiatives that directly benefit the Yuba-Sutter region.
While there is no formal theme this year, the chamber will incorporate ruby accents into the décor as a subtle nod to the traditional symbol of a 40-year anniversary, highlighting the enduring legacy of the event.
