YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture will celebrate the grand opening of the Art Box Marketplace with a public reception Friday, Feb. 6, at the Sutter Theater Center for the Arts.

The Art Box Marketplace is a reimagined version of the former Art Box Gallery and features work from multiple local artists displayed simultaneously in a retail-style setting. The marketplace includes photography, wall art, ceramics, jewelry, cards, journals, stickers and other handmade items, all offered at accessible price points.

Artists featured in the marketplace include Emily Cordi, Drew Sallee, Beverly Cameron-Fildes, Kathy Childers, Pamela Nowak, Kate Stauss and Trey Anderson.

The opening reception will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the theater, located at 754 Plumas St. Complimentary drinks and appetizers will be served. Several of the participating artists are expected to attend and speak with visitors about their work and creative process.

Organizers say the new marketplace format allows Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture to highlight a broader range of artists while creating a space that encourages community engagement and supports local creative businesses.

Regular hours for the Art Box Marketplace are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The space will also be open during select performances and special events at the theater.
