ROCKLIN, CA (YSBC) - Faith Christian senior guard and Long Beach State signee Lauren Harris checked off another box in her distinguished career as the Lions beat the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves 79-42 on Jan. 22.
Harris eclipsed 3,000 career points in the victory on Jan. 22 as she scored 40 points against WSCA in Rocklin.
Harris scored her 2,000 point against the Wolves last season in the Lions den at the Faith Christian campus.
The gym at WSCA erupted as fans from both schools cheered as Harris scored the milestone bucket on a floater within the first minute of the third quarter.

Harris needed 32 points on Thursday to get to 3,000. After a brief conversation with Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports, Harris expressed she was locked in and ready to go out and have fun playing basketball.
Faith Christian jumped out to a sizable lead in the first quarter as they ended it with a 27-6 lead. Harris scored 15 in the first and had 30 points at the end of the first half.
As everyone in the Wolves’ gym from both schools cheered on the milestone, Harris passed her teammates on their bench and headed down to the other end of the floor and was ready to lock in on defense.
On top of being a great player on the floor, Harris and everyone on the Lions roster, is the biggest cheerleader on the bench for their friends.

The culture built within the Lions community and the family atmosphere, makes any “road game” a home away from “the Den”.
Lions head coach Geoff Harris told YSBC that WSCA did a great job of challenging their offense and threw a defense at FC they have yet to see so far this season, but they were still able to find ways to put the ball in the basket.
Faith Christian senior Presley Berry (16) and Mia Bryan (14) both added double-digit points in the victory over the Wolves.
The Lions win on Jan. 22 set up a big Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League matchup on Saturday, Jan. 24. Faith Christian hit the road and played at John Adam’s Academy of El Dorado Hills.
Both teams are undefeated in the SMAL and ranked side-by-side one another in the latest Sac-Joaquin Section Division V rankings that were released by MaxPreps on Jan. 22.

The Lions picked up a key win over JAAEDH and put themselves in the drivers seat of the SMAL.
In the win against JAAEDH, Lauren knocked down 10 three-point baskets and brought her high school career total to 630.
According to MaxPreps, the all-time three point leader is Jaden Newman, who graduated in 2023 from Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada.
For a four-year high school career, the record is currently held by Aaliyah Chavez with 639. Chavez graduated from Monterey High School (TX) in 2025.
As the record with Chavez is within an arms length reach, Harris is out there enjoying the game that she loves.
