SUTTER COUNTY (MPG) - The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) has named Deputy Andre Licon and Deputy Paige Tarke as Heroes with Heart recipients.

The Trauma Intervention Program recognized Licon, a deputy with the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, for consistent leadership marked by empathy, patience and respect during traumatic incidents. TIP officials said Licon supports the program beyond calls for service by advocating for survivors and teaching at the TIP Academy, helping strengthen coordination between first responders and victim support services.

The Trauma Intervention Program also honored Tarke for her steady presence and compassionate approach on calls. Officials said she takes time to care for people during difficult moments, noting her calm demeanor, empathy and dedication.

The Trauma Intervention Program thanked both deputies for their service and ongoing support of victims and families in the community.
