YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Captain Jaswant Singh has been nominated for an award at the annual Heroes with Heart Gala presented by the Trauma Intervention Program of Yuba, Sutter and South Butte counties.

Singh is recognized for his advocacy for the Punjabi community, with an emphasis on helping seniors access critical resources. Colleagues said he works to ensure residents feel heard, respected and supported during difficult situations.

In addition to his field work, Singh serves as a trainer at the TIP Academy, where he shares his experience and assists as needed. Officials said his efforts have strengthened trust between the department and the community.
