Yuba County Resource Conservation District Awarded CAL FIRE Grant

YUBA COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Yuba County Resource Conservation District was awarded a grant for $949,984 as part of CAL FIRE FY 2025-26 Wildfire Prevention Grant Awards program. The grant is to reduce fuel loads for at-risk residences in Dobbins and Oregon House. These two communities in the Yuba Foothills were reported as among the highest fire hazard areas by the 2025 Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
This grant is intended to cover the treatment of 200 acres over about 40 parcels. Prescribed grazing will be used to maintain some treated areas.
