Sheriff’s Department Welcomes K-9 Primo, New Narcotics Detection Dog

YUBA COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department welcomed a new narcotics detection dog to its team over the Christmas holiday season.
K-9 Primo has been partnered with Detective Zepeda of the department’s POP team and is trained to locate illegal narcotics, including heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl. Primo is a German shorthaired pointer who will turn 2 years old in April.
The sheriff’s office described Primo’s arrival as a holiday “gift” and said it was grateful for the addition to its enforcement and detection efforts.
