ARBUCKLE, CA (MPG) – In their final contest before the new year, the Blazers’ girls’ basketball team struggled to score and as a result fell on the road 16-64 to the host Pierce Bears.
Against the taller Bear squad, Lindhurst was at a disadvantage on the boards, but also forced the ball on offense resulting in turnovers that Pierce capitalized on in the form of easy layups.
To their credit however, the Blazers, who suited up just seven players, never quit and continued to play hard.

Looking to end a five-game skid, Lindhurst (5-9) kicked off Sierra Delta League play by hosting Rio Vista and Woodland Christian on Jan. 5 and Jan. 7 respectively before heading to Citrus Heights on Jan. 9 to face San Juan.
