YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Angel wings and halos filled the room at Emerald Oaks Senior Community as kindergarten students from Andros Karperos School brought a burst of holiday cheer to residents during a special visit in Yuba City.

About 90 students sang a lineup of Christmas favorites, including “Feliz Navidad,” “Jingle Bells,” “Must Be Santa” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Residents tapped their feet, sang along and danced as the children performed from the front of the room.

Laughter followed as the program closed with a playful mashup of the Chicken Dance, “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” drawing smiles from residents and staff alike.

Dr. Gurprit Bains thanked the students for visiting Emerald Oaks and sharing the holiday season with residents. The morning ended with a surprise visit from Santa Claus, who spoke with the children, answered questions and handed out treats as they boarded the bus.

The performance marked the first time Andros Karperos School has visited Emerald Oaks and also served as the kindergarten class’s first official field trip, turning a simple outing into a holiday memory for both students and residents.
