YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - One of Yuba City’s largest and most anticipated annual events returns next week as the Yuba City Downtown Business Association prepares to host its 2025 Christmas Stroll running from 2 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13. This year’s theme, “Christmas Around the World,” will transform Plumas Street into a celebration of global holiday traditions, local culture and community spirit.

The Christmas Stroll has historically drawn thousands of visitors to downtown Yuba City, marking one of the busiest days of the year for small businesses along Plumas Street and surrounding districts. Although last year's event was canceled due to weather, organizers say they expect a large turnout with more vendors, expanded entertainment and a growing list of participating storefronts.

“This event is fun, of course — but it’s also important,” the Yuba City Downtown Business Association shared in a recent announcement.

“Every gift purchased, every meal enjoyed, every moment spent supporting local businesses keeps dollars in this community. That’s what makes the Christmas Stroll special.”

More than 120 vendors and 70-plus local businesses are scheduled to participate, offering artisan goods, boutique holiday items and handcrafted gifts. Food trucks will serve seasonal and international dishes as part of this year’s expanded global theme.

Live music, street entertainment and festive décor will line the historic corridor, along with a dedicated Kids Zone offering family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon and evening.

This year’s “Christmas Around the World” theme brings a new cultural dimension to the event. Guests can expect holiday influences from multiple countries represented in décor, vendor offerings, music and activities. The Christmas Stroll is free to attend and open to the public.
