YUBA COUNTY, CA (MPG) - At the Oct. 7, Yuba Water Agency Board meeting, a grant was approved for $283,182 to help the Resource Conservation District build a stronger, countywide Wildfire Hazard Reduction Program in partnership with the Yuba Watershed & Fire Safe Council.
Additionally, a $60,000 interest-free loan was provided for critical short-term cash flow, enabling the Resource Conservation District to continue important wildfire prevention work. This loan became necessary due to delays in invoice payments from state grants.
Fuel Reduction Projects:
The Resource Conservation District is offering fuel reduction plans to small property owners in the Yuba Foothills. To make a no obligation application, see the QUICKLINKS section on the district’s website: www.yubarcd.org
