SUTTER COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The Sutter County Community Action Agency and the Yuba County Community Services Commission invite proposals from qualified private nonprofit, public or faith-based organizations to operate programs that serve Yuba-Sutter’s low-income population and empower individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.

Approximately $240,000 in 2026 Community Services Block Grant funds will be available for each county agency to distribute to local service providers. Funded programs are expected to provide services Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026.

Areas of service in which the Community Action Agencies have determined priority needs exist are to increase homelessness prevention and reduction services (including financial literacy, rent/deposit assistance), expand access to health services (including mental, behavioral, physical, alcohol/substance) and improve access to food and basic needs.

Proposals must be received no later than Friday, Oct. 31 by noon. Proposals received after this deadline will not be considered for funding.

To obtain the Request for Proposal and/or more information, contact Jackie Slade at 530-751-8555 or [email protected] or visit www.suttercares.org or www.yubacares.org.
