OLIVEHURST, CA (YSBC) – The Lindhurst Blazers girls volleyball team stayed unbeaten after they swept the Highland Scots 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-14) on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Lindhurst athletics have strived recently and some of the other athletic teams have splashed into the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.
The Blazers volleyball team wants to make it to the postseason for the second straight year and they have a great opportunity of achieving that goal.
Lindhurst 2026 middle blocker Ashlynn Wheeler expressed to Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports that the taste of postseason in 2024 was great, but she and the other six seniors on the roster want more.

Wheeler is one of the key pieces that has brought the Blazers early success in 2025. Wheeler's powerful spikes over the net make opponents fall flat on their face as the ball hisses towards them.
Lindhurst sophomore setter Peyton House started the match off with the first seven serves as Highland struggled to get into a rhythm.
The Blazers won the first two sets handily and the Scots had great momentum to start the third, but they ultimately ran out of gas and Lindhurst opened Sierra Delta League with their second-straight victory.
Blazers head coach Alexis Rackley told YSBC that she comes in on a daily basis and is excited to coach the team.

Rackley added the growth of the program over the past few seasons has been substantial and has enjoyed seeing the grit and hard work payoff.
The Lindhurst student body shows up for their classmates and cheers them on loud and proud with support no matter who the opponent is.
Wheeler and House told YSBC that they love the support and play harder because they want to be successful for their peers that came out to cheer them on. House added that it inspires them to play better as well.
Rackley told YSBC the support of the girls' peers is amazing and loves how interactive they are with their consistent chants. The Blazers will travel and play at Rio Vista as they are scheduled to play next on Monday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.
