The Huskies will finish up their gritty and tough non-league schedule with a trip to Sacramento to take on the Bradshaw Christian Pride this Friday. Each time Sutter and Bradshaw have met up the past few seasons, it's been a battle and we expect nothing less this time as this will be the Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports game of the week. Kickoff Friday night is scheduled for 7 p.m.

River Valley 20, Natomas (Sacramento) 18

The River Valley Falcons delivered their first win of 2025 and head coach Mikey Badaluco expressed to YSBC that he was super proud of his squad for pulling out a gritty win over Natomas.

River Valley had a crucial turnover in the fourth quarter deep in their own territory with a couple minutes left in the game? But Badaluco told YSBC the credit goes to his defense for making the crucial stops late to secure the victory.

Junior wide receiver Kavari Drummonds turned into a running back during the game and had a hefty load of carries for the Falcons and eclipsed 100 yards of rushing.

River Valley will attempt to get back-to-back victories as they are scheduled to host Oakmont (Roseville) on Friday, Sept. 12 with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
