YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The 6th annual California Taco Fest and Car Show will roll into the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds on Saturday, Sept. 13, promising a full day of tacos, live music, polished chrome and friendly competition.
Hosted by Alma Festivals Entertainment, the event will feature dozens of taco vendors offering unique takes on the classic dish, alongside a display of classic, custom and specialty vehicles. Awards will be presented in multiple car show categories. Cultural performances, artisan vendors, family activities and live entertainment will also run throughout the day.
A highlight this year will be a cornhole tournament operated by No Limit Cornhole, featuring $1,000 guaranteed prize money for the double-elimination bracket, cash and prizes for the top three singles players, and both team and switch formats.
Formerly known as the Yuba Sutter Taco Fest, the event was rebranded as the California Taco Fest and Car Show to reflect its growing reach. Organizers emphasize that it is not affiliated with the newer Marysville Taco Festival, launched in 2024. Proceeds benefit local nonprofit groups, including the Yuba Sutter Food Bank - according to organizers.
Presale tickets are available online for $12.51 through Sept. 13, with gate admission up to $20. More information, including vendor lists, entertainment schedules and car show registration, is available at californiatacofestandcarshow.com.
