OREGON HOUSE, CA (MPG) - On Saturday, Sept. 20, the third annual Yuba Foothills Food & Water Festival will be held at the Alcouffe Community Center, 9185 Marysville Road, Oregon House, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There is a $5 parking fee.

This year, the emphasis will be on experiences with food.  Presentations and tastings include Coffee 101, Gourmet Mushrooms, Fine Wines, Apple Tasting, Wildflowers and Honey, Beer Tasting, Chocolate Tasting, Green and Purple Figs and Savoring Cheese.

Other demonstrations include Backyard Chickens and Canning Made Simple. There will be Fruit Pies, Sweet Bread, and Jam Competitions. Plus, Natural Farming, Microscopic Soil Life and Growing Wheat.

Regarding water, one of the festival stars, there will be presentations on Well Maintenance, Well Drilling, Home Water Filters and Tasting, Water Witching, Garden Irrigation and a special presentation on how Irrigation Water is delivered. 

This year, entertainment will be provided by the Chicken Fried Cats Band. The festival offers a variety of fun for everyone in the family.
