YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The Sutter Buttes Regional Land Trust will host a photographer’s reception Friday, Aug. 22, to celebrate the winners of its 2026 calendar photo contest. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sutter County Museum, 1333 Butte House Road, Yuba City.

The annual contest highlights the landscapes, wildlife and agricultural heritage of the Sutter Buttes region. Selected images are featured in the trust’s yearly fundraising calendar, which supports its mission of protecting regional lands and connecting the community to the outdoors.

This year’s featured photographers include Kelly Sarrico, who will appear on the cover, along with Brendan Kolb, Kathy Gelber Triolo, Christian Moreno, Meghan Worrell, Kevin C. Lee, Locken Art Studio, Kyoko Apperson Photography, Daniel Adrian, Hugh Smith, Leah Hutton, Robert Lowe, Emmanuel Madrid and Melanie Truan. Several student photographers are included among the winners.

Attendees at the reception can meet the photographers, enjoy light refreshments and purchase calendars. The exhibit will remain on display at the museum through Sept. 6. Calendars will also be mailed to land trust members beginning Aug. 22.

The Sutter Buttes Regional Land Trust works to preserve the natural and agricultural lands of the Sutter Buttes and surrounding region through conservation, education and community partnerships.
