BROWNSVILLE, CA (MPG) - The Mountain Fair is making its return to Brownsville for the 2025 season, promising two days packed with family-friendly activities, live music, local food and traditional competitions.
Hosted at 16911 Willow Glen Road, the fair will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 26, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 27.
Originally launched in 1975 and paused in 2004, the fair resumed in 2021 and continues to grow, thanks to Yuba Feather Community Services and a team of dedicated local volunteers. Attractions this year include a kids’ carnival, logging contests, animal shows, science demonstrations and more than 50 vendors.
The July 26 highlight is the BBQ Rib Cookoff, with tasting at noon and awards presented at 2:30 p.m. The July 27 event will feature a baking contest, with judging at 11:30 a.m. and awards at 1:30 p.m. Live music will be provided by Banner Mountain Blues and the Rag Top Rockers, with performances scheduled on both days.
Admission is $10 for ages 12 on up, $5 for children ages 6 to 11, and free for children 5 and under. Raffle tickets and carnival games will be available throughout the weekend.
For locals and visitors alike, Mountain Fair 2025 offers a vibrant celebration of mountain culture, community spirit and summer fun.
