Sutter Buttes Garden Club Gives Scholarships

YUBA-SUTTER COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The Sutter Buttes Garden Club is pleased to announce that this year they have given four scholarships to worthy high school seniors who plan careers in agriculture and plant related fields.
These exceptional students received their awards at the Garden Club June 24.
Devon Giardini, a graduate from Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts, will major in biology and environmental studies with a plant science focus at Bennington College in Vermont.
Eva Marie Scott graduated from Sutter Union High School and will major in agricultural sciences at Cornell University in New York. Eva was the recipient of the Kevin DeHoff scholarship.
Ava Villalobos graduated from Yuba City High School and will major in environmental engineering with a focus on sustainability at University of California, Santa Barbara.
Saihej Grewal, a student that is not pictured, graduated from Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts and will major in biological sciences at Cornell University in New York.
