SUTTER, CA (MPG) - Communities in Sutter and Meridian gathered over Memorial Day weekend to honor the lives and sacrifices of fallen service members with heartfelt Memorial Day ceremonies.

At the Sutter Cemetery, veterans, civic groups and families came together for a traditional flag presentation, musical tributes and a solemn remembrance of prisoners of war and those missing in action. The local Lions Club played a visible role, proudly carrying American flags during the service.

Meanwhile in Meridian, community members paid tribute with a rifle salute and quiet reflection.
