YUBA-SUTTER COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Yuba and Sutter County Community Action Agencies will host a public planning session on Tuesday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at Hope Haven, 103 D St. in Marysville to help determine the needs of the low-income and how to end poverty in Yuba-Sutter. Participation of Yuba and Sutter counties general public, low-income residents as well as local agencies that assist the low-income population is encouraged. The Community Action Agencies are responsible for determining local needs and setting priorities for the counties Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) funds. The goal of Community Service Block Grant funding is to remove obstacles and enable low-income residents of Sutter and Yuba County to achieve self-sufficiency.
