YUBA COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Three County Supervisors took their oath of office at a special board meeting Monday, Jan. 6, and elected a new chair and vice-chair.

Renick House, representing District 2, will be replacing outgoing Chair Don Blaser. He was elected in the March 2024 primary. Incumbents Seth Fuhrer (District 3) and Gary Bradford (District 4) were also re-elected in the March 2024 primary election.

The new board also voted in a new chair and vice-chair to serve for the 2025 calendar year. Supervisor Bradford was elected chair, and District 5 Supervisor Jon Messick was elected vice-chair.

Outgoing Chair and District 2 Supervisor Don Blaser thanked his district for letting him represent them for the last four years.

“That’s a great opportunity for any supervisor to really get connected with your county and your community,” Blaser said during the meeting. “You have the opportunity to be on a lot of committees and meet a lot of really good people and get a really good feel for the direction of the county.”

The next regular Board of Supervisors meeting was Tuesday, Jan. 14.
