Jan 23, 2025 10:09AM ● By Yuba County Office of Education News Release

MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - The Marysville Joint Unified School District (MJUSD) Board of Trustees is excited to begin an extensive and thoughtful search for a new superintendent.

This search will be conducted by Yuba County Superintendent of Schools, Rob Gregor, who will lead the process with a focus on finding a candidate dedicated to serving students and families.

The application window opens on Jan. 31, with submissions due by March 21. The new superintendent is anticipated to begin on July 1.

To ensure the selection of a superintendent who embodies the values and needs of the community, Superintendent Gregor and the Board of Trustees are actively seeking input from various stakeholders. This includes staff, students, parents, community partners and the broader community.

To facilitate this, three community events will be held where the public is invited to share their input on the key characteristics and skills necessary for this important role.  Additionally, surveys will be distributed to gather extensive feedback from all interested parties.

“The involvement of our community is crucial in this process,” said Superintendent Gregor. “We are committed to finding a leader who will prioritize the needs of our students and families, and we believe that community input will be invaluable in identifying the right candidate.”

The Yuba County Office of Education is dedicated to supporting the Marysville Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees throughout this search and looks forward to assisting in the selection of a superintendent who will lead the district with vision and integrity.
