Sutter County Office of Emergency Management to Host Preparedness Fair
Sep 18, 2024 01:19PM ● By Sutter County Office of Emergency Management News ReleaseYUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The Sutter County Office of Emergency Management proudly presents the Preparedness Fair at Boyd Hall (970 Klamath Lane, Yuba City) featuring representatives of emergency preparedness organizations, an emergency vehicle showcase, local food vendors, and prizes.
It will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 28.
Numerous booths hosted by safety and service organizations will be inside Boyd Hall, to answer questions, handout helpful information, and many will have giveaway items. Outside the hall, there will be an emergency vehicle showcase and local food vendors (Kalie's Kitchen, Chubb's SmokeShack, and the Tri-County Regional Occupational Program food truck). Anyone attending who signs up for emergency alerts through CodeRED or who already registered for the free service will be entered into a drawing for donated prizes.
Organizations scheduled to participate include the American Red Cross, California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, Department of Water Resources, Feather River Air Quality Management District, Habitat for Humanity, National Weather Service, Sutter County and Yuba City Fire Departments, Sheriff's Office, United Way, University of California Cooperative Extension, US Forest Service, and Yuba Sutter Domestic Animal Disaster Assistance.
The Preparedness Fair is free to attend and open to everyone interested in learning how to be better prepared and stay safe in emergency situations.
