MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - In 2019, the inaugural Taco Festival in Marysville was created. This year, creator Jose “Wally” Alvarado is aiming to raise funds to support this widely successful event and continue building partnerships that support local businesses and nonprofits.
About the Event
The free taco-themed event is from noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 24 and will cover four city blocks in downtown Marysville.
Enjoy taco trucks and other foods, a Kids’ Zone and car show and beer garden. Music will be provided by a deejay, bands and local talent.
The event organization, Every Gone Opportunity & Edible Memories, wants to reach predominantly families with members from age 5 to 54 years.
“Our community event will also bring back business to the historic Marysville downtown area affected by the recent street closures due to the hotel fire. The goal is to help boost the local economy by providing such events for the community,” according to the news release. “We are excited to announce this will be our fifth year for this annual event in Marysville. The amount of support from the community motivates our drive for this event to be successful.”
