MJUSD and Yuba County Office of Education Join Forces for Back to School Bash

MARYSVILLE, CA - The Marysville Joint Unified School District (MJUSD), in partnership with the Yuba County Office of Education (YCOE) and long-time community partner Upper Cut Social Club, is excited to announce the Back to School Bash, set for Friday, August 2. This event, located on C Street between 1st and 3rd Streets, was created to help families with school-age students, offset the costs associated with returning to school.

The Back to School Bash will feature a comprehensive community resource fair, offering complimentary haircuts, immunizations, access to Marysville Joint Unified School District's dental van, public safety information, and participation from local businesses and organizations. Thanks to a generous contribution from the Marysville Rotary Club, thousands of backpacks will be distributed to Yuba County students. Marysville Joint Unified School District and Yuba County Office of Education expect to distribute 4,000 backpacks at this event.

In addition to the Rotary Club's significant donation, numerous other contributions of backpacks and school supplies have been received for distribution. To assist families with transportation challenges, Marysville Joint Unified School District will provide bussing from various school sites.

The Marysville Kiwanis Club will be on hand, cooking hot dogs for families with students to enjoy, along with other refreshments. This event is not only a chance to gather essential school supplies but also an opportunity to connect with various community resources.
