YUBA-SUTTER-COLUSA, CA (MPG) – The Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way invites everyone to the "Together We're Better Golf Tournament" on Monday, June 24.

This year, United Way is planning for an even bigger community impact.

The June 24 golf tournament is presented by Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way in partnership with Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club.

Registration and sponsorship opportunities can be accessed online by visiting www.yscunitedway.org and then clicking on "Upcoming Events."

Last year, 83 golfers raised $13,500 for local nonprofit causes, including the Eric Pomeroy Memorial Scholarship program, Yuba City Police Department Widows and Orphans Fund, the Enterprise Rancheria Community Fund and the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way.

The tournament particulars are simple: a 4-person scramble and no handicaps are needed.

Like last year, first-, second- and third-place teams will be awarded a cash prize to donate to a local nonprofit of their choice and tournament proceeds also benefit the Enterprise Community Fund and Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way.

Breakfast items and a post-tournament lunch will be provided as part of the entry fee. There will be on course games and competitions with prizes.
