MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - We are excited to present the 144th Annual Bok Kai Day Celebration and Bomb Day, March 9th and 10th, 2024.  The Bok Kai Parade is one of the longest continuous parades in California, even operating during COVID-19.

It’s history: The Marysville Bok Kai Parade Committee met earlier this week and now is accepting applications for the 144th Bok Kai Parade Festivities to be held on March 9th and 10th. We welcome all to come and enjoy.  Parade entries and vendor applications are now available through our website. 

The Marysville Chinese community is working hard to welcome visitors from all over to the 144th Bok Kai Festival which includes a “Parade” and the “Firing of the Bombs.” Both traditionally have been held in MarysvIlle now for 144 years. This year much more will be added to the festivities for the whole family to enjoy! Refer to the web page for more updates on all the festivities. 

We rely on the support of community partnerships to continue our preservation work at the Bok Kai Temple, The Bok Kai Temple Museum, and the Historic Marysville Chinese School Museum. Sponsorship levels are available, attached is the link.
