YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - On January 27, 2023, Blue Zones Project^® Yuba-Sutter announced that Bridge Coffee Co. has achieved designation as the first restaurant to become Blue Zones Project Approved™. Bridge Coffee Co. completed the approval process at its Yuba City facility by implementing best practices to improve customer well-being. Blue Zones Project celebrates this achievement and acknowledges the commitment Bridge Coffee Co. has towards improving well-being for the community at large.

“The team at Bridge Coffee Co. is passionate about our Yuba Sutter community, and is making healthier, easier options available for all – that are tasty too!” shared Courtney Finstad, Organization Lead for Blue Zones Project Yuba-Sutter. “We are thrilled to celebrate Bridge Coffee Co. as the first restaurant to become Blue Zones Project Approved™ and look forward to continuing our work together, while encouraging other restaurants and organizations to participate in our Project as well for the betterment of our community.”

Bridge Coffee Co.’s vision of creating a heathier restaurant meant prioritizing its Blue Zones Project goals. “The process of working with Blue Zones Project has been an incredible experience,” said Robbie Chaney, Vice President of Planning for Bridge Coffee Co. “Blue Zones principles are so in line with our mission and values at Bridge Coffee Co. that it was a natural fit for us to partner and encourage more healthy eating options.” The new Kids Choice Menu which features avocado toast on ancient grain with salsa, veggie cup with hummus, and yogurt cup with fruit and berries, as well as the Expanded Veggie Sandwich are just two of the Blue Zones inspired additions to the Bridge Coffee Co. lineup. Bridge Coffee Co. also sourced coffee beans directly from one of the blue zones regions of the world, Nicoya, Costa Rica, roasting a very special coffee blend available in store.

Media and community members are invited to celebrate this accomplishment at the Blue Zones Project Approval Celebration event starting at 5pm on February 1^st, 2023, at Bridge Coffee Co. 101 Clark Ave., Yuba City. Live music, free healthy samples, and recipe cards will be available, among other activities.
