The Indians won their league with an undefeated record in Pioneer Valley play. In fact, after beginning the season 4-3 overall following a road loss at Dixon on March 16, Marysville rattled off 14 wins in a row, including 10 straight in the PVL. The Indians’ streak was sparked by their offense, as they outscored their opponents 128-23.
However, Marysville does enter the playoffs coming off an ugly 12-1 home loss to East Nicolaus (25-2, 14-0 Sacramento Valley) last Wednesday night. The defeat at the hands of the Spartans ended the Indians’ winning streak.
