LOS ANGELES, CA (MPG) - Entrepreneur Leo Zacky has announced his intent to run for California Governor in the 2022 election.  The fourth generation Californian’s family is known worldwide for the Zacky Farms poultry products.

 Despite the family’s renown business success, young Leo did not grow up as pampered elitist.  Starting at a young age, his grandparents put him to work on the farm.  Starting at the bottom, he would learn every facet of how to run a major business.  Leo spent many hours alongside the workers doing the dirty jobs, asking questions on how to improve production and what the company could provide to motivate them.

 As a teenager, Leo often accompanied his grandmother Lillian Zacky to Sacramento and Washington DC as she lobbied for the agriculture industry.  When he was older, became a board member for the California Poultry Federation.

 At the height of the Great Recession in 2012, the family business was suffering.  The then 20-year-old Leo left college at the University of Arizona to return home determined to help save his family’s business.  During those years, he learned the hard lesson that ‘everything has a cost’.  As a businessman, then later as the company’s Vice President, he traveled throughout California becoming familiar with all corners of the state.  Taking the time to learn how different regions had different needs, and the plethora of niche issues.

 Leo embodies the Zacky legacy, an entrepreneurial spirit, a determination to succeed, and a passion to serve.  As Governor, Leo Zacky has pledged that his top five priorities will be:

Resolving the Homeless Crisis.

Finding a solution to the State’s water crisis.

Exposing corruption within the halls of government.

Bring back the expectation of academic excellence in education for the children of this State.

End the mass exodus out of California by restoring the quality of life.

Leo is respected in the agricultural industry and by statewide business owners.  Having never been a career politician, he does not answer to any special interest group.  He’s a hands-on businessman with the knowledge, experience, and passion to bring real solutions to every problem facing the world’s fifth largest economy.  A Constitutionalist at heart, and a true representative for all the people.
