MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) – Yuba-Sutter Transit is excited to announce that it is extending the fare-free service for those traveling to or from COVID-19 vaccination appointments through December 31, 2021. This offer, which is being provided in cooperation with the Yuba and Sutter County Public Health Departments, is available on all services operated by Yuba-Sutter Transit, including Dial-A-Ride, but all service eligibility requirements still apply.

To ride free of charge, when boarding the bus passengers must present valid confirmation of their appointment that day at any COVID-19 vaccination site in Yuba or Sutter Counties. Confirmation may be in the form of an appointment card, email, or text with the passenger’s name and appointment information (date, time, and location). The driver will acknowledge that the confirmation meets the requirement and that the passenger may continue boarding.

Anyone traveling with a passenger that has a scheduled appointment must provide their own appointment confirmation to qualify for a free fare. This offer is now scheduled to end on Friday, December 31, 2021, but the program will be re-evaluated at that time to determine if there is still a need for it to continue.
