NET-5 Arrests Suspect with Unregistered and Un-serialized AR-15 Style "Ghost Gun"

YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - On Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Agents from the Yuba-Sutter Narcotic and Gang Enforcement Task Force (NET-5), with the assistance of the Sutter County Sheriff's Office and the Yuba City Police Department executed a search warrant on Rigoberto Guevara Jr. (18 yrs. old) and his residence located in the 400 block of Camino Cortez in Yuba City, CA. At the time of the search warrant Rigoberto Guevara was found to be walking in the neighborhood in possession of an AR-15 style, assault rifle containing a high capacity magazine. The assault weapon was unregistered and un-serialized, commonly referred to as a "Ghost Gun." It was believed Rigoberto Guevara Jr. intended on selling the assault weapon.
Rigoberto Guevara Jr. was booked into the Sutter County Jail for charges of possession for sale of an un-serialized and unregistered assault weapon.
