Juan Delgado Announces Candidacy for Yuba College Trustee
YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Juan Delgado today announces his candidacy for Yuba College Trustee, District 4.
As a recent retiree from the California Department of Education, Adult Education Division, Mr. Delgado brings a unique set of experiences and skills to the race for Trustee. He is a graduate of California State University, Chico, with a BA in psychology, and has also worked as an Outreach Consultant for the Marysville Joint Unified School District. He and his family have lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for 40 years.
“As a former community college student myself, I am passionate about Yuba College and believe I would be a highly-productive community-oriented Trustee,” said Juan Delgado. “I am open, accessible, and will treat all students, staff, and community members with respect. I describe myself as a New Voice for Yuba College,” he continued.
Mr. Delgado and his family have strong commitments to serving students. In addition to his 20-year career in public education, his wife, Mona, is currently a teacher at Riverbend Elementary in Yuba City.
As a Trustee, Mr. Delgado pledges to put students first, to promote fiscal accountability and responsibility, to continue to support positive staff and management relations, and to enhance economic development and job training programs.
“As a Trustee I commit to supporting resources that provide quality educational opportunities to all students. I will be a Trustee for the total community,” he said.
